Founder
Simran Sanganeria
​
she/her, they/them), is a sexuality education researcher and facilitator. She has used tools from Holistic Sex-Ed, Experiential Education, Theatre of the Oppressed, Buddhist and Tantra Practices and Dance Movement Therapy to inform her work. The inspiration to work in the sexuality space came after indulging into the development sector as an alternate educator of Math and Science as part of a year long program called India Fellow Social Leadership Program. She has traveled extensively across the country to develop sexuality awareness tools that can cater to larger audiences without the barriers of language or cultural contexts. She hopes to create safe and courageous spaces across communities to explore sexuality.
Work Experience: In the past 4 years in the sexuality sector, she has conducted more than 200 online and 100 offline sessions with as many as 2000 unique participants. These have been done as online retail workshops available for all, as well as in partnership with NGOs, Health and Educational Institutions and Corporates.
Academic Background: She has been certified at TARSHI, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing an ASSECT certification from ISEE, USA. She obtained a BA with Hons in History from Hindu College, Delhi university, and an MA in International Relations from King’s College London, UK.
Communities worked with: Her facilitation engagement has spanned across different professionals such as government and private school teachers, bureaucrats, youth leaders, adolescents, rural tribal women populations with organizations such as NGO Protsahan (Delhi NCR), State Governments (Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan), IPE Global (Rajasthan), Nari Gunjan (Bihar), Contree (Rajasthan), Super School India (Delhi), Seeds of Awareness (Mumbai), Mantavya Mental Health Foundation (UP), iVolunteer (Mumbai), Project Koshika (Madhya Pradesh), Sajhe Sapne (Himachal), Aavishkaar and India Fellow.

Ravi Ramaswamy

is a trustee and a Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) facilitator with CCDC since 2011. They received training in Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) from Marc Weinblatt of the Mandala Center for Change, Seattle, Washington. Ravi has been leading Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) workshops with diverse communities across India including offering beginners’ and advanced level trainings in Theatre of the Oppressed.

Ravi identifies as queer. They are passionate about their work with communities, advocating the use of TO for developing reflection and critical thinking skills.
Ravi has worked with inmates of the Bangalore Central Jail, LGBTQIA+ individuals and organizations, farmer groups, children and youth from different strata of the society.
Ravi is a guest faculty on courses in Sociology, Journalism, Psychology and Theatre of the Oppressed in colleges in Bangalore, at the National School of Drama, Tripura, Mass Communication and Journalism Dept, Tezpur University, Assam and the P.G Diploma in Applied Theatre offered by the Applied Theatre India Foundation, Pune.

Ravi has been training NGO staff in Theatre of the Oppressed and designing visioning and mentorship programmes for working with communities. They have trained staff from the Ayang Trust, Majuli, Assam, Lok Biradri Prakalp, Maharashtra and Sauramandala Foundation, Meghalaya. Ravi has also been mentoring other individuals trained in TO in furthering their TO practice.
Ravi has been inducted as a Trustee at the Hank Nunn Institute, Bangalore, an organization working towards developing and delivering carefully designed, robust, low cost, long term and culturally congruent mental health services.
With a Master’s degree in Social Work and 10 years' experience of working in the development sector, Ravi brings to their TO practice, a deep understanding of issues such as urban poverty, education, child and youth rights, gender and sexuality.

An English literature student, Persephone lives for the art of writing and tries to bring a human, esoteric touch to everything she does. Being passionate about social justice, she cares deeply about the LGBTQIA+ community, politics, and secularism, amongst other things.
